Open Water Scuba Diver

$600

  • Online learning (click here)  $225 paid directly to PADI (This cost will be deducted from price paid to shop)

    • PADI's online eLearning course consist of knowledge development quizzes and final exam that can be completed via computer or mobile device. 

  • 4-6 Hour Pool Training

  • 5 Open Water check out dives to be completed over 2 days. 

  • Complete equipment rentals

$25 per person/per day quarry entrance fee

Mask/Snorkel/Boots/Fins/Log Book

To enroll in the PADI Open Water Diver course, students must be:

  1. At least 10 years old 

  2. Be in good physical health.

  3. Should be able to swim and tread water, as well as complete a medical questionnaire.

  4. Complete knowledge development (e-learning sessions)

  5. Confined water dives (pool sessions for skill practice) 

  6. Open water dives

You must also own or purchase your own scuba mask, snorkel, boots, and fins for class. These must be approved for use with scuba diving, not swimming or snorkeling. The items need to be purchased at our shop. If you choose to look online contact us prior to purchase to ensure they are the correct items and to see if we can price match the item if found at a lower price. 

You will learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank. The equipment you wear varies, depending upon whether you’re diving in salt versus fresh water and  temperature of both water and outside.  

Upon completion of five open water dives, you will receive your Open Water

Scuba and Peak Performance Buoyancy certification. This will enable you to dive independently with a dive buddy and maintain proper buoyancy throughout your dives.
