Rescue Diver

Rescue Diver Option 1: $350

You can also study with the eLearning Portion (CLICK HERE). This is paid directly to PADI for a cost of $196. Your total price will be reduced based on the eLearning amount paid. Progress through the eLearning material is at your own pace using a desktop, laptop or mobile device. Quizzes help you evaluate your progress and identify sections you may need to review.

Rescue Diver Option 2: $350

You will study with the Rescue Diver Manual that can be picked up at the dive shop. Your PADI Instructor will meet with you to schedule knowledge review sessions along with your rescue exercises and scenarios.

Become a PADI Rescue Diver and expand your knowledge and experience as you learn to look beyond yourself, and consider the safety and well being of other divers.  Your PADI Rescue Diver training prepares you to help prevent problems, and manage dive emergencies by incorporating a variety of techniques over a 2-3 day period.

Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. Topics include:

  • Self rescue

  • Recognizing and managing stress in other divers

  • Emergency management and equipment

  • Rescuing panicked divers

  • Rescuing unresponsive divers

You will also need to have obtained Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months. You will need to either present your card at the time of registration or before completing the Rescue Diver course. You can also complete the Emergency First Responder course during the Rescue Diver course, just let your dive instructor know you need to complete the course as well.
